Creating a modern look that respects the heritage of this house was the goal of designer Svetlana Tryaskina. Adding moments of functionality to each room and updating with wallpaper and fresh colour helped keep this makeover on budget. When a total renovation of the kitchen was out of the question, Svetlana decided to kept the base cabinets and counter tops while adding new custom uppers, an understated backsplash and a fresh coat of paint.
