A kolosszus
Gloria, a New Yorkban élő, munkanélküli party girl összeveszik az érzékeny barátjával, Timmel. Elhatározza, hogy abbahagyja az önpusztító életmódot, és visszatér a szülővárosába, hogy új életet kezdjen. Találkozik a gyermekkori barátjával, Oscarral, akinek van egy bárja és néhány ivós cimborája. Hiába a szándék, Gloria folytatja az ivást. Időközben a világ másik felén egy gigászi kolosszus megtámadja Szöul városát. Egy éjszaka Gloria rájön, hogy a tudatával képes irányítani a szörnyeteget.
