A zentai csata - 1697
A hatalmas török had megsemmisítő bécsi vereségét követően a keresztény hadak egymás után foglalták vissza Magyarország fontosabb erősségeit. A sorozatos vereségek ellenére az oszmán haderő újabb támadást indított, és 1697 nyarán megindult az ország belső területei felé. Az ellene mozgosított Habsburg csapatokkal végül Zenta mellett vívta meg a háború legvéresebb csatáját.
