British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is moving quickly to keep his election promises. He is planning to pass more than two dozen bills in 2020. Top of the list is the EU Withdrawal Agreement Bill, which parliament will debate and vote on immediately. The bill commits Britain to leaving the EU on Jan 31, as well as concluding trade talks with the EU by end-2020. The Bank of England will also get a new governor -- Andrew Bailey will have the task of conducting Britain's monetary policy as it leaves the EU. Mr Bailey will take over on March 16 and serve an eight-year term until 2028.
