Australia’s big banks at risk of $270 billion mortgage debt

Nationals MP Keith Pitt discusses the fears of almost $270 billion of Australian home loans being at risk of defaulting as borrowers struggle to keep up with their payments.

“The real danger here was everyone was trying to get a roof over their head, they couldn’t get rentals, they found a way into the market and now with these massive increases in interest rates … there’s a real risk they will default,” Mr Pitt told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
