Meet Caillou, the lovable 4 year old with a big imagination! Caillou experiences all the wonders of being a child that audiences around the world can relate to; first day of school, caring for a pet, learning a new sport or spending time with family. Preschoolers will feel right at home with trusted pal Caillou, his sister Rosie and all their family and friends as they experience the everyday adventures of childhood.
Episode 1: Leo's Birthday
When Caillou wakes up and sees it is Leo's birthday, he quickly realizes he hasn't got him a present yet. He imagines what could be the best gift to give his close friend and settles on the idea of baking him a birthday cake. Will Leo like his gift from Caillou?
Episode 2: Caillou The Farmer
Today Caillou decides to go out into the garden and plant his own fruit and vegetables. He plants his own carrots, cabbage, and tomatoes before watering them and then quickly goes to sleep as he's excited to see how much they've grown. The next day he carries on watering his fruit and vegetables, only to wake the next morning even more excited to see they've started to grow. By the last day, he finally gets to pick his fruit and vegetables and shares a delicious lunch with his friends.
What is Stop Motion?
Stop motion is a way of animation which makes it look like still objects are moving. Clay animation is a good example of how stop motion is used. Stop-motion requires any camera that can make single frames (or photos). It works by shooting a single frame, moving the object a little bit, and capturing a frame again. Cartoons use a similar way; one of the main differences is that stop motion uses real objects instead of drawn.
