Hello Everyone!
Monday marked day 4 of the Johnny Depp Vs. Amber Heard trial currently taking place in Fairfax, Virginia. The trial is seeking to resolve claims of defamation Johnny Depp has brought against Amber Heard stemming from her Washington Post OpEd published in 2018. Ms. Heard has filed counter claims against Mr. Depp of a similar nature.
So... Day 4. We started by finishing off the testimony started last Thursday by Dr. David Kipper. Dr. Kipper testified via video deposition and he got into the 'Australia Incident' where part of Johnny's finger was severed.
Next up we had Debbie Lloyd, also testifying via video deposition. Ms. Lloyd is a registered nurse who worked on Johnny's medical team alongside Dr. Kipper. Ms. Lloyd gave a lot of 'I can't recall' answers, and thankfully we had a special guest come on to explain why this was, @Nurse Liz . Liz explained that Nurses are trained to testify in such a way to help avoid any liability issues, among other things.
Finally we ended the day with the direct examination of Sean Bett. Mr. Bett is former LAPD and Johnny's personal body guard/security detail. Mr. Bett testified in person (finally! No more video depositions!) and spoke about the May 2016 incident which took place shortly after the death of Johnny's mother. The day ended with the conclusion of the direct examination, and tomorrow Mr. Bett will finish his testimony with a cross examination, and likely a redirect.
It is expected that Day 5 (Tuesday, 4/19) will see Johnny Depp take to the stand for testimony. Court begins at 10AM EST, and we will be live from 9:30 EST. Be sure to tune in, this should be BIG!
