Gavin Houghton's rented cottage in Oxfordshire, shared with his photographer partner Boz Gagovski, is the most charmingly informal of the interior designer's houses, a weekend getaway filled with his own creative work and an array of enviable antique market finds. "If I owned it I’d be more precious about it,” says Gavin. “But as it was I’ve been quite playful, and I think of the house really as a playhouse.” You can see Gavin's houses in London and Tangier in the August issue of House & Garden, which is out now.
