Introduction to marketing and advertising. In this video I discuss the fundamentals of how you can promote your own business.
First, I discuss a concept that I have developed which I call the 4 pillars of marketing and advertising success. The pillars are
1) Costs of the total marketing efforts
2) Scale of the people you will reach
3) Targeting of the target consumer
4) Conversion of people who learn about your business to making those people paying customers.
The way things usually work out is that if all four of these elements are present in your marketing campaign, then things should work out great. If three of the elements are present, your marketing efforts should work out reasonably well. But if only two or one of the elements of the 4 pillars of marketing are present in your marketing campaign, then it will most likely not go well and your advertising efforts and resources may be wasted.
So as part of the introduction to marketing and advertising for your business, try to always think of these 4 elements and how well they will be addressed with the particular marketing effort you are planning to carry out.
