Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) rájön, hogy az anyjának köze volt azokhoz az ősi tekercsekhez, amiket egy rejtelmekkel teli szigeten őriznek. Miss Parker (Andrea Parker) követi Jarodot az elátkozott helyre, ahol hatalmas vihar készülődik. Jarod a városban megpillantja az anyját, ám szem elől téveszti.
