Natalie-nak minden bejött az elmúlt időszakban: évkönyvet szerkeszt, ösztöndíjat kapott a főiskolára, jó eredményeket ér el a sportban és a közösség “királynője”. Azután belép az életébe Keith. A titokzatos és tartózkodó fiú nagy hatással van rá, elvonja a figyelmét a dolgairól. Minél inkább visszahúzódik Keith, annál inkább kíváncsivá teszi Natalie-t, aki megpróbál magyarázatot találni Keith különös viselkedésére. Nem akarja közel engedni magához, ám a szívének képtelen parancsolni. Miközben Natalie világa lassan elemeire hullik szét, mindkettőjük élete örökre megváltozik.
