A hadsereg titkosszolgálatának tisztje, John Murphy egy mexikói küldetésben Santos-t a nagyhatalmú drogbárót készül az amerikai hatóságok kezére juttatni. Az akció azonban váratlan fordulatot vesz a kommandót lemészárolják. Murphy hajszál híján megmenekül és tanúja lesz miként végzi ki Santos-t saját embere. Visszatérve a Pentagonba megtudja, hogy egy határőr csoportnak fűződött érdeke ahhoz, hogy Santos eltűnjön a színről.
