SP: The Trends Shaping Latin American Telecoms' Credit Quality

June 24, 2011 - Recent acquisitions in complementary businesses and territories, coupled with the large youth population's demand for Internet and wireless access, have benefited the largest telecommunications companies in Latin America. However, smaller players have been affected differently, with some faring better than others. What's more, new regulations, particularly in Mexico, may improve the smaller players profitability and increase competition across the industry.
