This film was shown on Canadian TV once December 25, 1988 and then somewhat disappeared. You are viewing that original broadcast from 88 in video format. Millennium, although it follows the travels of a man from Toronto to his parents village in Ukraine, it succeeds in introducing the viewer to a large amount of Ukrainian culture and distinct early Ukrainian history. The film was made on the brink of the collapse of the Soviet Russian empire and is particularly relevant today.
