ARTIST STATEMENT:
The film ‘’Mrs. Jones’’ is an intellectual-cum-psychological thriller. It is a particularly thoughtful, artful, and esoteric piece which is fiercely cathartic. The film will explore the culture of interracial relationship and swing lifestyle in urban cities. In this film, religious dogmata will be dissected, questioned, and rejected.
The subtext of this film will be the support of the uncanny. I intend to support the so called ‘’abominable acts’’ which is not allowed to be practiced freely in our racially, religiously, and ideologically bigoted societies.
OBJECTIVE:
My aim is to make a film which can be described as an intellectual film which inspired an intellectual debate.
I intend to use this film to say the unsayable; to start a conversation. In my opinion, most humans are sanctimonious by nature. Humans love to hate abominable act in public, but they love to do abomination in secret places. Some of that so called abominable acts will be laid bare and glorified in ''Mrs.Jones.''
Spectators will be taken for an emotional ride. I want to tickle their dark side with this film. Hopefully, ‘’Mrs. Jones’’ will bring out the tamed or hidden dragon inside them...because everybody has got one.
Spectators will experience an extreme visceral reaction. They will leave the theater hunted by images from the film. The film will shock a lot of people. It will also make them think...a lot.
PLOT OUTLINE:
Mrs.Cathy Jones is married to Bill ''Rattle Snake'' Jones. Mr. Jones is a swinger, and a mobster who gives his wife the freedom to choose and date any man of her choice as long as she does not fall in love with her play mate. Ike is a photographer who Mr. Jones introduced to Cathy as a play mate.
But Cathy fell in love with Ike at first sight. It is an intense love affair which is beyond her control. How long will she hide the affair? How will she relay the news to her husband? Will Mr. Jones ever find out about the affair? What will he do if he finds out? Who will he put to sleep...or forgive?
